- Start networking with employers your freshman and sophomore years so that when you need an internship or a job you will already have your “foot in the door”.
- Always be respectful of your professors, TA’s, advisor, and faculty.
- Check often with the financial aid or student success center for scholarships.
- Do not be afraid to go ask your professor a question, your paying them for their time, but just be respectful.
- Stay caught up if you get behind on just a few readings or assignments you could be in a very deep hole.
- When your studying work for about 45-50 minutes and then take a 5-10 minute break, it will help you concentrate more and you will retain the information better.
- Learn to say “no” to people, if you know that you are to busy to go hang out or to work on something tell them “no”. Remember class, and studying comes first.
